Container Scanner Funded by China Officially Handed Over to Suriname

The hand-over ceremony of the container scanner funded by the Chinese Government to the Surinamese Government was held on January 15 at the New Harbour in Paramaribo. Surinamese Minister of Finance, Minister of Trade and Industry, Director of Tax Service, Commissioner of the Customs attended the ceremony. Chinese Ambassador Su Ge, Counsellor Cai Shuizeng and staff from Nuctech were also present.

   
   

Ambassador Su and Minister Hildenberg, representing the Chinese Government and the Surinamese Government respectively, signed the hand-over agreement. Their addresses contained high praises of the friendship between China and Suriname. Afterwards, Ambassador Su and Minister Hildenberg together cut the ribbon.
